Old Trafford keen on teenage talent.
Manchester United eyeing move for Fiorentina’s Luzayadio Bangu
Manchester United have not yet given up on strengthening their midfield this season and have identified Fiorentina’s Luzayadio Bangu as a potential target.
According to Calciomercato.com, the Red Devils are excited by youngster Bangu, who has become known in Italy as one of Serie A’s most talented and promising prospects.
Indeed, Bangu has been described in some quarters as ‘the new Ruud Gullit’, while he has admitted his inspiration in the modern game is Spain and Barcelona talisman Andres Iniesta.
United are believed to have sent two scouts to Florence on Wednesday night to watch Bangu in action and, if their reports are positive, a move from Sir Alex may be imminent.
We have of course heard plenty of references to the ‘Next Cristiano Ronaldo’ or the ‘New Lionel Messi’ but it’s been a while since we heard someone compared to the great Dutch legend Ruud Gullit.
By all accounts 15 year old Fiorentina talent Luzayadio Bangu is a player with bundles of potential and apparently a number of Europe’s ‘elite’ are beating a path to his door.
Sir Alex Ferguson has certainly adopted a youthful transfer policy over the past few years and indeed saw the fruits of such a path just yesterday when former Crewe Alexandra youngster Nick Powell netted his first Man United goal just months after making an impact in League Two.
The Scot has also seen young additions David de Gea, Phil Jones, Chris Smalling and Javier Hernandez make similarly instant impacts in the Man United first team and perhaps this goes some way to highlighting just how capable the Old Trafford side’s scouting system is.
