Five players who could interest Anfield boss Brendan Rodgers.
There has been much talk of a possible move to Stamford Bridge for Bayer Leverkusen forward Andre Schurrle and Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers would do well to persuade his Anfield board to stump up the cash to make a decent offer for the young German international.
Rodgers has precious little in the way of attacking options with just two recognised senior strikers in his current squad, Luis Suarez & Fabio Borini, and Schurrle may have been unsettled enough by the offers made by the Blues to be interested in an alternative Premier League switch.
The 21 year old adaptable attacker can play either out wide or in an orthodox striking role and his performances at international level have impressed many.
Liverpool are geared towards a youthful transfer policy and Schurrle would fit the way in which Rodgers likes to play the game but he probably won’t come cheap. That said if come January the Merseyside club are still struggling for form then the club’s American owners may feel the need to finance a bid for the former Mainz man.
