Old Trafford side keen on Benfica forward.
Spanish source El Mundo Deportivo reports that Man United are joined a plethora of clubs interested in highly rated young Benfica striker Nelson Oliveira.
Nelson Oliveira has impressed many since forcing his way through the Benfica ranks into the first team picture and the big forward was a surprise inclusion in the Portuguese Euro 2012 squad, indeed the youngster took part in four of his nations five games in the summer finals tournament.
Benfica opted to loan the striker to newly promoted La Liga side Deportivo La Coruna and Oliveira has already netted twice in his first four games in Spain but would Sir Alex Ferguson be willing to meet the youngster’s €30m (£24m) release clause, a fairly hefty sum for a player of relatively little experience.
Sir Alex Ferguson is of course well versed in bringing in players from the Portuguese top tier having signed the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Nani, Anderson and of course Bebe in the last few years.
One also wonders if the Scot is in urgent need of further attacking options having brought in Robin Van Persie to bring his complement of international strikers up to four, with Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck and Javier Hernandez also in his Old Trafford squad.
