The french full-back was coveted by Newcastle United, amongst others, throughout the Summer and, given his more recent form, it’s not hard to see why. He is a defender of real quality and, at 27, he has started to find the best form of his career and broke into the French national team last season as a consequence. Newcastle look set to continue their pursuit of him in January, but are likely to face stiff competition for his signature.
