Old Trafford attacker set for exit following altercation.
Nani has moved a step closer to the Old Trafford exit after an incident which ended with him landing a blow on a young Manchester United team-mate.
Words were exchanged between Nani and reserve team midfielder Davide Petrucci after a training ground challenge at Carrington.
Nani later called the 20-year-old Italian over in the gym and the rest of the squad thought the pair would talk through their differences, but they were said to be stunned when Nani appeared to land a punch on Petrucci.

Things have not been going well for Nani over the past 18 months or so and this could perhaps have led to his altercation with reserve team midfielder Petrucci. Sir Alex Ferguson is not the type of manager to let an incident of this nature slide but will also be angered to hear the story someway finding it’s way to the press.
Sport Witness point out that the reporter who ‘broke’ this story for the Daily Mail had been banned from Manchester Untied earlier in the week following a leak relating to Luis Antonio Valencia.
Nani moved to Man United for £25m back in the summer of 2007 and took a while to come out of the shadow of national team compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo but in 2010/11 he was a pivotal performer in Ferguson’s Premier League title winning side but was then left out of the starting line-up for that season’s Champions League final against Barcelona.
The wide-man now has a great deal of competition for his spot with the likes of Luis Antonio, Danny Welbeck, Ashley Young and Shinji Kagawa all challenging for a spot in Man United’s first team set-up.
Ferguson is also said to have not been pleased that Nani assumed penalty taking duties from Robin Van Persie during Man United’s recent encounter with Galatasaray, the attacker then fluffing his spot-kick.
20 year old midfielder Davide Petrucci is yet to make an appearance for the Man United first team.
