Former Tottenham boss ready to take the Super Hoops hot-seat.
HARRY REDKNAPP is becoming the bookies’ FAVOURITE to take over QPR if the Mark Hughes revolution fails.
Hughes has spent big – an estimated £25million – since the shock sacking of Neil Warnock in January, with TEN players arriving alone during the last transfer window.
Yet under his leadership they have won only EIGHT from 27 matches and have yet to win in the Premier League this season. His win percentage is just 29.6 per cent, slightly better than when he managed Wales.

Indeed it is fair to say that things have not started all that well for QPR this term and Mark Hughes was handed a huge sum to improve his Loftus Road squad following their flirtation with relegation last term. Harry Redknapp has been out of a job since he was axed by Daniel Levy in June.
QPR chairman Tony Fernandes has to consider his options before he swings the axe as clearly a change of manager could well further unsettle the West London club’s squad, especially those who were only recently brought in by Mark Hughes, however if the former Man City and Blackburn Rovers boss isn’t able to arrest the club’s poor run of form then the club’s board may need to act sooner rather than later.
Tonight’s game at home to West Ham is crucial and if QPR fail to secure a win then Hughes may find it increasingly hard to keep his seat at the helm.
The club’s opening day 5-0 thrashing at the hands of Swansea City clearly knocked the stuffing out of QPR and although their form has picked up the longer they go without a Premier League win the harder it will be for Mark Hughes to keep his job.
Redknapp could then be the right man to take the job should Mark Hughes get the sack.
