San Siro side keen on Emirates Stadium player exchange.
Italian source CalcioMercato reports that Inter Milan are ready to consider an offer to use Argentine youngster Ricky Alvarez as bait to help land Arsenal winger Theo Walcott.
Arsene Wenger has previously been linked with interest in Alvarez and the fact that the 24 year old doesn’t figure all that prominently in Nerazzurri boss Andrea Stramaccioni’s first team plans means that the San Siro side can certainly afford to use the attacking midfielder to help lure the North London club into a player exchange.
Walcott is no nearer to signing a new contract and with the England man in the final year of his contract it is very plausible that the Emirates Stadium side will look to offload the player in January to avoid losing the former Southampton man on a free transfer next summer.
Given that any fee received for Theo Walcott would be significantly reduced this January it may make more sense to look for possible swap deals such as this one from the Italian giants.
Alvarez was strongly pursued by Wenger prior to his move from Velez Sarsfield to Milan in August 2011 so clearly the rangy midfielder is a player that the French boss has a very real interest in.
