It should have been a good day for Ryan Shawcross – a maiden England call-up on his 25th birthday.

Unfortunately for the powerful centre-half, the rest of Stoke City’s squad had other ideas and decided to celebrate by banding his arms and legs with tape and throwing him in rather nasty patch of mud.

John Terry wouldn’t have stood for it, that’s for sure.
