Emirates Stadium side monitoring AZ Alkmaar forward.
Arsenal are reportedly keeping tabs on in-form American striker Jozy Altidore as he continues to impress with his performances with AZ Alkmaar.
The 22 year old has netted eight goals in seven Eredivisie matches this season and scored 19 times last term and has started to deliver on the promise the big forward has displayed for some years. The New Jersey born striker struggled for form at Villarreal and didn’t impress during loan spells at Hull City and Bursaspor but is now showing what he is capable of.
Arsene Wenger will continue to monitor the 22 year old’s progress and could then consider a possible move for the American international.
The Gunners boss may well have space for another striking option as it’s likely he will look to permanently offload Nicklas Bendtner and Park Chu-Young, who are currently on loan at Juventus and Celta Vigo respectively. Moroccan Marouane Chamakh has experienced a woeful 18 months and is now likely to be sold to any side willing to make a decent offer for his services.
Altidore has made 51 national team appearances for the United States, scoring 13 goals in the process.
