Stamford Bridge side mean business in Colombian ace chase.
Roman Abramovich has told Chelsea to press ahead with a £46million swoop for Radamel Falcao in January.
The Chelsea owner has identified the Colombia striker as the next world superstar he wants at Stamford Bridge and instructed Chelsea’s hierarchy to put together a bid for the next transfer window.
The prolific Atletico Madrid striker interested Chelsea during the Andre Villas-Boas regime and he has been extensively scouted by the club despite the Portuguese manager’s sacking.

It appears that Russia billionaire Roman Abramovich means business.
Having forked out more than £80m over the summer to strengthen a Blues squad that last term won the Champions League the Chelsea owner is once again ready to dig deep in his pursuit of perhaps the deadliest striker in Europe right now.
Radamel Falcao has hit a rich scoring streak of late, netting an incredible eleven goals in seven matches for Atletico Madrid thus far this season, and has hit a further four goals for Colombia in World Cup qualifiers.
Though Fernando Torres has put in a series of strong displays this term Roberto Di Matteo will certainly see the potential arrival of Falcao as a vast improvement on the attacking options he has to call upon to help convert the ammunition created by the club’s stellar creative talent into a constant stream of goals.
With the likes of Juan Mata, Eden Hazard, Oscar and Frank Lampard offering a strong source of attacking impetus the West London side would become a whole lot more able to retain their Champions League title if they secured a player of Falcao’s ability up front.
No doubt a number of other side’s will be tracking the 26 year old former FC Porto man but it does appear that the Vicente Calderon side is ready to consider bids ahead of yet another big name sale by the Madrid side.
Atletico have sold quality forwards Fernando Torres, Diego Forlan and Sergio Aguero in recent seasons.
