Anfield side target Emirates Stadium and Parkhead forwards.
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has made it clear he will not tolerate another transfer-window disaster in January.
Rodgers was left fuming when Charlie Adam, Jay Spearing and Andy Carroll were allowed to leave Anfield in August without replacements being signed.
A broken foot for Fabio Borini has left Luis Suarez as the Liverpool manager’s only fit senior striker, and Rodgers says he is looking forward to being busy in January with Celtic striker Gary Hooper and Theo Walcott, of Arsenal, reported targets.

Brendan Rodgers has thus far not been handed anything like the transfer funds his predecessor Kenny Dalglish enjoyed, and wasted, so any hope of landing either or both of the targets named by this source will depend greatly on how willing Liverpool’s American owners are to once again fork out to improve the Anfield squad.
24 year old former Scunthorpe United man Hooper has been a big hit since his move to Parkhead two years ago and Bhoys boss Neil Lennon is keen to tie the marksman to a new long term contract but may struggle to do so if a bid from the Anfield side is forthcoming.
Hooper netted 22 goals in his first season in Scotland and fired in 29 last term to help Celtic to an SPL title and he is a player Lennon will fight to keep hold of. There has been talk of a potential England call-up for the Harlow born striker and clearly a high-profile move South of the Border would help in pursuit of international recognition.
If indeed Gary Hooper is refusing to sign a new deal it may well be with a view to attracting interest in his services from prospective Premier League sides interested in his services.
Hooper has netted eight goals in 14 matches this term, including two in Champions League action.
Theo Walcott appears to be attracting a number of prospective suitors as his Arsenal future continues to be in a great deal of doubt. Having not signed a new deal during the summer transfer window it was always likely that things would begin to get a little awkward for the winger at the Emirates Stadium club.
Arsene Wenger has opted to consign the 23 year old England international to he bench until he agrees to a new deal on the terms set out by the North London side. Walcott on the other hand appears to want a bigger pay-packet and a striking role, depending on what speculation you choose to see as accurate.
However when the wide-man has been employed coming off the bench he has made an impact and it may prove tough to continue to leave out the speedy attacker if he shows just what he is capable of.
One does wonder if Walcott would consider a move to Liverpool and would surely not be open to the idea unless Rodgers has helped push his side well away from the drop zone and back in contention for a top four finish.
