Loftus Road boss looks to reunite with former Etihad Stadium charge.
QPR boss Mark Hughes will look to lure Kolo Toure to Loftus Road as he seeks to stabilize his leaky defence. The Super Hoops boss brought the Ivory Coast international to the Etihad Stadium from Arsenal back in the summer of 2009 and will hope that he can reunite with the 31 year old centre back when the transfer window re-opens in January.
Toure has struggled for first team football following his return from a drugs ban, seeing Joleon Lescott and Vincent Kompany establishing a strong pairing effectively force his way out of Roberto Mancini’s starting eleven plans.
Though the experienced defender will be on duty at the African Nations Cup in January and February Hughes is still keen to tempt Kolo Toure into making a move to the West London club during the forthcoming transfer window as he looks to pull his side away from the relegation zone.
Pressure is already growing on Mark Hughes as despite a decent level of squad spending in the summer QPR sit bottom of the table having still not collected a win after seven Premier League matches.
QPR have also conceded 16 goals in that period and have collected just one clean sheet thus far this term. Hughes would hope that the presence of determined defender Toure could help rectify the problem.
Kolo Toure has made just one Premier League start since March.
