Bernabeu side keen on Championship custodian.
LEICESTER CITY keeper Kasper Schmeichel is a target for Spanish giants Real Madrid.
Boss Jose Mourinho has instructed his goalkeeping coach Silvino Louro to recruit a back-up for No.1 Iker Casillas.
And they see Schmeichel, 25, as a long-term successor to Casillas, 31.
Denmark Under-21s international Schmeichel was voted Leicester’s player of the season last campaign.

Kasper Schmeichel must have an agent with a multitude of journalistic contacts as there is surely no way that Jose Mourinho would be looking for a back-up custodian in the English second tier.
This isn’t to say that Peter’s son isn’t a talented keeper, because he is, but the fact that he is yet to make his full international debut and that his last Premier League appearance was some four years ago would appear to indicate that the 25 year old is not really up to the task of representing the European giants.
Mourinho has also been linked with interest in Man City keeper Joe Hart and that move seems unlikely on the grounds that the England man would appear to be more than happy with life at the Etihad Stadium.
Kasper Schmeichel has the time to grow into an accomplished goalkeeper and it’s worth noting that his father Peter didn’t make his big move to Man United until he was almost 28 years of age and then went about impressing all during his eight year spell at Old Trafford.
