St Mary’s side keen on PSV Eindhoven attacker.
SOUTHAMPTON boss Nigel Adkins will launch a fresh £5.5million move for PSV attacker Jeremain Lens in January.
Saints had a £4m bid snubbed by the Dutch club last summer but are keen on the Holland international.

One would have imagined that Southampton boss Nigel Adkins would be more interested in beefing up his back-line than bringing in further attacking options but that said Jeramain Lens is a player with the potential to be a big hit in the Premier League having greatly impressed for both club and country over the past 18 months.
The 24 year old adaptable attacker is one of the most effective forwards in the Eredivisie and may well be tempted by a move to the Premier League.
Lens is now seeing his club form replicated at international level with his pace and direct attacking intentions scaring the life out of the opposition. The bustling forward has the physique to make it in the English top tier and Adkins seems intent on bringing the Amsterdam born forward to the South-Coast.
Southampton have had no problems finding the back of the net this season, scoring 12 goals in seven Premier League matches, including two agaist Man City and Man United, but the Saints have also shipped in 20 goals in that period so Adkins could well need defensive reinforcements in January.
