The French international gave a fairly honest assessment of the club’s decision to sell Alex Song to Barcelona in the summer, in short, he wasn’t happy. Now that is clearly fair enough but it also appears that efforts to tie down the right-back to a new contract are not going to plan.
Having suffered two broken legs last term Arsenal had to force youngster Carl Jenkinson in at the deep end and the former Charlton Athletic man has taken the plunge with great vigour.
