Ewood Park side keen on Argentine legend.
Blackburn supremo Shebby Singh wants to offer Diego Maradona an astonishing chance to become the club’s new manager.
Former TV pundit Singh is now in charge of the recruitment of a boss for owners Venky’s, and has made an approach to the Argentina legend.
Singh came up with the idea after failing to land Tim Sherwood from Tottenham and watching a move for Fulham assistant Billy McKinlay collapse.
Now, the extrovert Malaysian has opened discussions with Maradona, who is available and ‘keen’ after leaving Arabian club Al Wasl following a stormy spell.

Is this a good thing? Will appointing the former footballing legend as Ewood Park boss backfired spectacularly? Well it’s hardly likely to be a screaming success and should the Argentine be made the new Blackburn Rovers boss then it would take a brave man to bet on Diego Maradona being in the post for more than six months.
52 year old Maradona is unpredictable to say the least and would probably only agree to such a managerial move on the basis of being paid a huge sum of money. Whilst such a move may well be high-profile it isn’t one that will work in footballing terms.
Diego Maradona did a decent job as manager of the Argentine national team but failed at Al Wasl, winning seven and losing 10 of the 22 games he took charge over.
