Loftus Road side keen on Parkhead enforcer.
QPR want to sign Victor Wanyama from Celtic, according to The People.
Mark Hughes was linked with the Kenyan in August and it is claimed the R’s boss has been alerted to the fact that Wanyama has not agreed a new deal at Parkhead.
The People say that despite Tony Fernandes’ recent public support, Hughes may lose his job if Rangers fail to beat Reading today.

Given that QPR owner Tony Fernandes said today that he would not be financing any big money January moves one has to wonder if this story has any basis in reality.
Celtic defensive midfielder Victor Wanyama has been linked with high-profile interest from the likes of Chelsea and Man United and Neil Lennon will certainly have his hands full trying to keep hold of the 21 year old Kenyan but a move to QPR would make little sense for the youngster.
Apart from anything else QPR have a number of players who should be more than capable of filling the role Wanyama would be used in though perhaps the likes of Stephane Mbia and Samba Diakite are still to make an impact at the Loftus Road club.
