Bernabeu side target San Siro starlet.
Real Madrid have identified AC Milan star Stephan El Shaarawy as the man to replace Cristiano Ronaldo, should the Portuguese forward leave the Santiago Bernebeu.
Superstar Ronaldo is unsettled at Real and admitted earlier in the season that he was ‘sad’ about some aspects of life in the Spanish capital.
Reports this week have suggested that mega-rich Ligue 1 leaders PSG could use their petrodollars to lure the former Manchester United player to Paris in an £80m deal.
Ronaldo is yet to comment on the speculation but Real have already put in a contingency plan in place, with El Shaarawy being lined-up to replace the disgruntled 27-year-old.
El Shaarawy, 20, is regarded as one of the hottest prospects in European football and has made a blistering start to the season with the Rossonerri, scoring 8 times in just 11 Serie A games.
This could be a wise move to consider.
Whilst Real Madrid would of course be insane to consider offers for Portuguese international Cristiano Ronaldo there is scope to bring in AC Milan forward Stephan El Shaarawy as a long term successor to the former Man United man, who is seven years his senior.
The Italian international has been in red hot form this term, despite the fact that his AC Milan side have struggled.
Ronaldo has been an astonishing success over the past three and a bit years, netting an astounding 164 goals in 159 games since his £80m move to the Spanish giants.
A move to PSG may not be a completely implausible suggestion but one would imagine any targeting of El Shaarawy would be with the long term future of the Bernabeu side in mind and not necessarily a like for like purchase made in the very near future.
