San Siro side set sights on Anfield marksman.
Italian giants AC Milan have set their sights on Liverpool striker Luis Suarez according to TransferMarketWeb.
The San Siro side are apparently readying an ‘ambitious’ move to sign the Uruguayan international and may be seen by Massimiliano Allegri as a potential replacement for Swede Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who left the club for PSG in the summer. However one does wonder if the Serie A sides have the funds to make a significant offer for any big name signing given the cost cutting exercise owner Silvio Berlusconi appears to be undertaking.
AC Milan have struggled for form both in domestic and continental action and Allegri could well do with alternative attacking options even though young attacker Stephan El Shaarawy has been on a good run of form.
However it’s worth noting that Liverpool are highly unlikely to consider any offers for their 25 year old striker, not least because he is arguably Brendan Rodgers’ only effective goal scoring option.
The former Ajax man has become something of a cult hero at Anfield since his £22.8m move to the club in the summer of 2011.
Suarez has been in great form this season even though Liverpool have not started the season all that brightly. The intelligent forward has scored ten goals in 15 appearances in all competitions thus far during the current campaign.
