Etihad Stadium side keen on German international.
Italian source CalcioMercato claims that Man City are taking an interest in Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos.
Apparently Roberto Mancini is greatly interested in the 22 year old and will battle Inter Milan in a race to land a player Bayern Munich probably have no intention of selling. This source also believes the German international is worth just €15m (£11.9m) which may be wishful thinking given the obvious talent the midfielder possesses.
The former Hansa Rostock youth team player took a while to break into the Allianz Arena first team, after really catching the eye whilst on loan at Bayer Leverkusen, but Kroos is now a regular in Jupp Heynckes’s plans, starting nine of the club’s ten Bundesliga fixtures this term and already amassing five goals in all competitions.
One has to wonder why Mancini would feel the need to bring in another attacking midfielder given he has the likes of David Silva and Samir Nasri providing a similar service in the Man City first team but clearly Man City are well known for stockpiling talent but this may be one top class the player the Italian fails to lure to the Etihad.
