CalcioMercato today report that Tottenham boss is keen on Valencia playmaker Sofiane Feghouli.
The 23 year old is in his third season at the La Liga side and has garnered a lot of attention with his consistent displays for the Mestalla outfit and boss Mauricio Pellegrino may be concerned that the Algerian international could be the latest talent to leave Valencia for a shot at the big time.
Thus far this term the French born flair player has been in impressive form, scoring five goals already this term and impressing greatly in Champions League action, helping his side to three straight group stage victories.
Feghouli moved to Spain in the summer of 2010 and was loaned out to Almeria before making a real impact last term, making 49 appearances and helping Valencia to a top three finish and the semi-finals of the Europa League.
The former French Under 21 international opted to represent Algeria at international level and is a player most often used in an attacking midfield role.
Ferghouli had been dubbed the ‘New Zidane’ when he first emerged on the scene at Grenoble though it’s fair to say that he is yet to fully deliver on his obvious potential.
Andre Villas-Boas may feel he still needs an injection of creativity having lost the likes of Luka Modric and Rafael van der Vaart over the summer.
