San Siro side closing in on French international.
CalcioMercato today report that Inter Milan are closing in on Arsenal full-back Bacary Sagna.
The French international spoke out following the sales of Robin Van Persie and Alex Song over the summer and may well be the latest player to seek a move away from the North London club over fears of Arsenal’s lack of ambition. A move to the San Siro may well tempt the former Auxerre man, who is now into his sixth season at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsene Wenger may well elect to allow the right-back to pursue a move to the Serie A giants as he has a ready made replacement in the form of England youngster Carl Jenkinson, who has impressed when called upon this season.
There are also fears about Sagna’s long term fitness given that the defender broke his leg twice last term.
Inter Milan are enjoying a bright start to the current campaign having struggled for the past two seasons. Andrea Stramaccioni’s side have won seven games on the trot and ended Juventus’s 49 match unbeaten run last week with a fine victory in Turin.
