Can the Turf Moor forward help improve Emirates Stadium strike-force?
Arsenal have joined the list of clubs monitoring Charlie Austin at Burnley.
The 20-goal striker has been watched by an increasing number of Premier League scouts over the past five games as they assess his ability to make the step up.

Whilst it would be easy to dismiss Arsenal’s interest in Charlie Austin due to the striker having not top tier experience it’s hard to ignore the rate with which the Burnley man is hitting the back of the net.
The 23 year old former Swindon Town forward has scored an astonishing 20 goals in 17 matches this season and has attracted the attention of a number of Premier League sides including Newcastle United and Liverpool, now it’s Arsenal’s turn to take an interest.
Arsene Wenger could well do with attacking reinforcements as currently he relies solely on Olivier Giroud to lead the line as he appears to prefer using the likes of Gervinho and Lukas Podolski in wide roles.
A move for the Burnley hot shot would certainly mean that Moroccan international Marouane Chamakh’s Arsenal career was all but over, which may well be the case anyway as the 28 year old is yet to play a single minute of Premier League action this season.
Wenger opted to send Nicklas Bendtner and Park Chu-Young to Juventus and Celta Vigo respectively on season long loan spells.
