San Siro star ordered off the micro-blogging site.
Inter Milan have banned star midfielder Wesley Sneijder from using Twitter, his wife said on Friday.
The Netherlands international uses his social media account to interact with over one million followers.
“My husband, @sneijder101010, can no longer write on Twitter,” she said on her own account.
This is a little odd.
The Inter Milan man has not been involved in any unsavoury tweeting, unlike a large number of his fellow professional footballers, but yet the San Siro side felt strongly enough about any issue they have with the Dutchman to ask him to stop tweeting.
Sneijder has been in something of a dispute with Inter Milan boss Andrea Stramaccioni who continues to state that the playmaker is still recovering from a thigh injury, hence his omission from recent starting line-ups, whilst the player himself has stated he is fully fit and raring to go.
Inter Milan haven’t missed the 28 year old former Ajax and Real Madrid man, winning seven games on the trot to move up to second place in Serie A.
