La Liga side want Emirates Stadium right-back.
According Fichajes La Liga side Malaga are interested in Arsenal full-back Bacary Sagna.
Interest from the La Rosaleda side is perhaps surprising as many reports have suggested that the Qatari owned club were in financial dire straits, having seemingly overstretched themselves financially in order to claim a maiden Champions League spot with a top four finish last term.
That speculation seemed valid enough given that the club lost the services of two crucial players, Salomon Rondon and Santi Cazorla, who were sold to Rubin Kazan and Arsenal respectively.
Perhaps their financial problems have eased and Manuel Pellegrini will certainly be happy with things on the playing side. Malaga sit in fifth place in the domestic table and have collected ten points from four Champions League games and sit pretty at the top of Group C as a result.
Bacary Sagna spoke out following the sales of Robin Van Persie and Alex Song over the summer and may well be the latest player to seek a move away from the North London club over fears of Arsenal’s lack of ambition. But would a move to Malaga tempt the former Auxerre man, who is now into his sixth season at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsene Wenger may well elect to consider offers for the right-back to pursue a move to the Serie A giants as he has a ready made replacement in the form of England youngster Carl Jenkinson, who has impressed when called upon this season.
There are also fears about Sagna’s long term fitness given that the defender broke his leg twice last term and appears reticent about committing to a new contract.
