Anfield side keen on pint sized forward.
Italian source ForzaItalia believe that Liverpool are the latest in a long line of clubs taking a keen interest in Italian international Giuseppe Rossi as Brendan Rodgers looks at possible additions to his Anfield squad.
Liverpool have started to get their season back on track in recent weeks but one would have to wonder where the Merseyside club would be if Luis Suarez hadn’t hit a rich vein of form. The Uruguayan has single-handedly provided Rodgers with a regular source of goals and a player is needed to help share the load.
Though currently out with a long term injury, 25 year old Villarreal striker Rossi is on the mend and having netted 82 goals for the Yellow Submarines and collected 27 Italian national team caps it would appear that the pint sized New Jersey born marksman has come a long way since failing to make the grade at Man United.
A move to Anfield would surely be welcomed by the instinctive finisher, not least because his Villarreal side were relegated to the second tier last season.
Rodgers signed another Italian forward over the summer, Fabio Borini, but the former Chelsea and Roma man failed to make much of an impact before suffering a foot injury.
