Bernabeu manager cuts to the chase with biting assessment of Etihad Stadium opposition.

Check-In to Man City v Chelsea

“It is incredible when you look at the array of players City have got that they have been eliminated from the group stage two years running”

Jose Mourinho quoted by BBC Sport

Not subtle is it?

Clearly the Real Madrid boss and Roberto Mancini don’t get on and the Portuguese ‘Special One’ appears to be keen on hammering a point home in order to leave the Italian feeling even more exposed to a possible sacking.

Whilst it’s clearly a disappointment for Man City to have so miserably failed to make it out of the group stages this term is there any need for Mourinho to be so willing to stick the knife in?

He is of course correct but Mancini appears to be suffering as it is without having to hear Jose making light of the situation.

Tickets still available for top football matches – Real Madrid v Athletic Madrid tickets
