PSG ready to make £100m Ronaldo bid.

Paris Saint-Germain are prepared to offer more than £100millon to lure Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid to the French capital, according to reports in France and Spain.

The Portuguese joined the Spanish club three years ago for £80m but has at times this season appeared disillusioned with life in the Spanish capital.

A consultant at French radio station RMC reportedly saw a text from Ronaldo to a Spanish journalist which said he would rather move to Paris than sign a new deal with Madrid.

Cristiano Ronaldo could be the biggest name yet to join the petrodollars revolution at PSG, with reports suggesting the Ligue 1 giants are preparing a bid that would make the Portuguese the most expensive player in footballing history – for the second time!

Despite his staggering goal-scoring record for Real (124 La Liga goals in 114 appearances if you were wondering), there are indications that Ronaldo is not entirely happy in the Spanish capital.

Earlier in the season, the 27-year-old admitted he was ‘sad’ at some aspects of life at the Santiago Bernebeu and it is understood the former Manchester United star feels that he does not have the support and respect of key figures at the club, except coach Jose Mourinho.

While it would be dramatic to see Ronaldo leave the biggest club in world football for the relatively modest PSG, there have been reports that the Qatari-backed Parisiens are also ready to bring Mourinho in as boss, as they bid to oust the likes of Real and Manchester United and make themselves the biggest superpower in the game

There are those that would argue a move to France would represent a step-down for Ronaldo and the forward would undoubtedly be accused of money grabbing. But there is a compelling argument that, barring Real and Barcelona, Ligue 1 isn’t too far behind La Liga and the Portuguese would still be competing against the very best in the Champions League, of course.
