Potters centre-back going nowhere.
Ryan Shawcross has given the first indication that he is ready to accept a record-breaking contract that would keep him at Stoke into his 30s.
Stoke’s newly-capped England centre-back has been offered a new six-year deal that would give him parity with Peter Crouch as the club’s top earner on £45,000 a week.
Worth £14million overall, it is the biggest package Stoke have ever put together, and Shawcross revealed his willingness to sign it, despite interest from Liverpool, Everton, Tottenham and his old club Manchester United.

This is some commitment Stoke City are willing to offer Ryan Shawcross to remain at the Britannia Stadium and it appears an offer the former Man United man is ready to sign and therefore vanquish talk of a possible Potters exit.
The 25 year old has been strongly linked with a possible return to Man United, who could well do with defensive reinforcements after a shaky start at the back.
Shawcross is clearly a player Tony Pulis wanted to keep at the club and that’s understandable as the Potters boss relies heavily on his back-line and has seen the England international form a reliable pairing with Robert Huth.
The Chester born defender has amassed over 200 appearances since his move from Old Trafford.
