Anfield side monitoring Rapid Vienna forward.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is reportedly scouting Rapid Vienna striker Terrence Boyd ahead of a potential January bid for the young American.
The 21 year old German born United States international moved to the Austrian side in the summer after failing to make the grade with Borussia Dortmund and has proven a sterling success in Vienna.
The powerfully built forward has scored seven goals in 14 league appearances as well as another three goals in Europa League action. That form has led to a consistent spot in the national team picture and interest from a number of club’s across Europe.
Boyd scored goals regularly in Hertha Berlin’s second string and did likewise in Borussia Dortmund’s reserve side but realised a move to Rapid Vienna could help secure him the regular senior football he needed to further develop his career in Europe.
Liverpool boss Rodgers is looking to build for the future and the club’s youthful transfer ethos may make a move for Boyd a very wise one.
