Italian sides keen on St James’ Park full-back.
DANNY SIMPSON could be set for an Italian job as a move away from the Premier League becomes more likely.
The Newcastle defender is being chased by three Italian clubs.
Simpson, 25, is out of contract in the summer and officials at St James’ Park insist they will hold talks in the new year.
But Roma, Parma and Palermo have all added Simpson’s name to their wishlist. It is understood they will all put a four-year deal on the table worth £50,000-a-week.

It had looked as though Danny Simpson would be leaving St James’ Park over the summer but Alan Pardew convinced the former Man United full-back to stay at the club and now Newcastle United stand to lose the defender on a free transfer at the end of the season and could therefore opt to cash in on the 25 year old in January.
Simpson has shared right-back duties with James Perch this term and the continued talk of interest in French international Mathieu Debuchy may well further restrict his first team chances and therefore a move to Serie A may well tempt the Newcastle United man.
Debuchy was reportedly very close to moving to the North-East side but Lille changed their mind over the deal but there is every chance that such a move could be clinched in January.
Simpson has made 132 appearances for Newcastle United.
