Stamford Bridge side set to bring in yet another Brazilian.
According to well respected Brazilian source Globoesporte Chelsea are very close to completing a deal to sign Metalist Kharkiv striker Taison.
Indeed the 24 year old forward was reportedly in the stands at Stamford Bridge last night as the West London side registered a second successive blank under new boss Rafa Benitez.
It seems clear that Chelsea need to reinforce a strike-force that relies almost exclusively on off-form Spanish international Fernando Torres. The 28 year old hasn’t scored in his last seven Premier League appearances and may well be offloaded if he doesn’t hit the type of form one would expect from a £50m signing.
The former Internacional forward is into his third season at Metalist Kharkiv and the adaptable 24 year old has seemingly attracted growing attention with his recent displays.
Taison can play in a number of attacking roles and would join a number of his compatriots with Brazilians David Luiz, Oscar, Ramires and Lucas Piazon already plying their trade at the Premier League club.
