England veteran closing in on principality move.
David Beckham is set to begin talks with French side AS Monaco, with negotiations expected to take place after Saturday’s MLS Cup final.
The 37-year-old is understood to be open to the idea of moving to the principality, having announced his desire to leave Los Angeles Galaxy.
Beckham has also attracted interest from clubs in Russia and Brazil.

Clearly there is a financial allure to a move to join the principality club but it is worth remembering that Monaco are currently are in the second tier of French football though are currently top of Ligue 2 so one does wonder if that would play a part in David Beckham’s decision making process.
Monaco are currently managed by former Blues boss Claudio Ranieri and this Stamford Bridge connection could be responsible for the speculation that Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has also been linked with the French side.
David Beckham plays his final game for LA Galaxy this weekend as they take on the Houston Dynamo in the 2012 MLS Cup Final.
