Emirates Stadium boss keen on Craven Cottage star.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is reportedly interested in Fulham attacker Bryan Ruiz and is said to be readying a January bid for the Costa Rican.
The 27 year old was linked with interest from the Gunners prior to his switch from FC Twente to Craven Cottage and Wenger will have been impressed with the performance the stylish Fulham star put in against Arsenal during their 3-3 draw with the North London club earlier this month.
Ruiz had a solid first season at Fulham but has grown this season and has become a far more effective attacking option in Martin Jol’s armoury, helping the West London side cope with the loss of creative talents Moussa Dembele and Clint Dempsey.
Arsene Wenger is said to be keen on the adaptable attacker, who can play in an advanced central midfield role, out on the wing or as an orthodox striker, and a move may be all the more likely if Theo Walcott is offloaded.
Bryan Ruiz has registered five Premier League assists this season and has worked well with new signing Dimitar Berbatov and is a player Jol would be loathed to lose. However as this summer displayed, Fulham have lost their top performers when ‘bigger’ clubs have come calling and as such may struggle to retain the former Eredivisie title winner.
