A selection of possible additions that could well help the Stamford Bridge side mount a genuine Premier League title challenge.
Over the summer Chelsea brought in a host of young talents who could help usher in a new Blues era of domination whilst a number of the club’s old-guard move nearer to the Stamford Bridge exit. Perhaps what Roman Abramovich should look for now are players who are able to offer experience to help balance the youthful additions. Here are five players who could well be available and ready to make the move to the West London side.
Radamel Falcao (Atletico Madrid)
A player who will cost a huge sum but can lead the Chelsea line for many years to come.
The 26 year old hasn’t stopped scoring since his move from FC Porto to Atletico Madrid and he must now be a player Chelsea look to sign in order to make the most of the creative talent that lies behind the club’s strike-force.
Falcao has slammed in 49 goals in 62 matches since his move to the Vicente Calderon side and he could well be the prolific marksman the Blues could do with having ahead of their ludicrously creative midfield. Currently placing off-form Fernando Torres ahead of Eden Hazard, Oscar and Juan Mata is not working and back up options Daniel Sturridge and loaned out Romelu Lukaku may well not be up for the task either.
If by January Atletico have fallen away then a big money offer may seem more amenable to both the player and his employers.
