Craven Cottage side keen on Villa Park forward.
Jol admits interest in Bent as striker edges closer to Aston Villa exit
Fulham boss Martin Jol has hinted he may rival new Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp in a January move for Aston Villa striker Darren Bent.

Martin Jol clearly knows Darren Bent from their shared time at Tottenham and the Fulham boss is the latest Premier League boss to show an interest in the 28 year old Aston Villa forward who appears to struggling to convince Villa Park boss Paul Lambert of his qualities.
The England man has not even made the Aston Villa bench in recent matches but Lambert still insists that Bent is part of his plans.
To be fair to the Scot it would be hard to drop new signing Christian Benteke given his recent form but for a player of Darren Bent’s quality to not even warrant a spot on the bench warrants a bigger internal issue.
Fulham brought in strikers Mladen Petric, Dimitar Berbatov and Hugo Rodallega over the summer and have managed very impressive 25 goals in 14 Premier League matches so is there any need to further reinforce the Cottagers attack?
