Old Trafford side take an interest in Parc des Princes midfielder.
Sir Alex Ferguson is monitoring PSG playmaker Javier Pastore after reports emerged claiming that the Argentine is unhappy at the Ligue 1 club. The former Palermo midfielder was a Man United target prior to his move to the French capital and now the Old Trafford side are readying a possible bid for the 23 year old.
The talented flair player came in for public criticism from boss Carlo Ancelotti in recent weeks and this has led to speculation of a possible move back to Italy.
The Parc des Princes boss may well consider offers for Pastore after bringing in a host of talented midfielders to the club over the summer, indeed the imminent arrival of youngster Lucas Moura, the Brazilian finishing his season with Sao Paulo before completing his move to PSG, may spark such a sale.
Pastore has even been consigned to the bench in recent fixture further fueling a possible exit and Ferguson now sees the PSG man as a preferable creative midfield target to the ongoing saga to land Wesley Sneijder, a player who has been perennially linked with a move to Man United for the best part of 18 months.
Javier Pastore was one of the first players lured to PSG by the club’s wealthy Qatari owners and he put in a solid first season but he could well be set to pay the price of not being a player Ancelotti has purchased and the former Blues boss is keen to put his own stamp on the club he took over last December.
Ferguson is keen to bring in a goal-scoring attack minded midfielder to help add more balance to a side that is perhaps has something of a brittle centre.
