QPR and Tottenham on alert as Everton defender Distin says he wants Premier League stay
Everton defender Sylvain Distin, who is out of contract in the summer, says he wants to remain in the Premier League.
The 35-year-old, who has attracted interest from QPR and Tottenham in recent months, has been in and out of Everton’s side this season but has impressed when starting in the last three games.

Though clearly Sylvain Distin is in the latter stages of his career the big Frenchman is very physically fit and has a season or two in the tank and as such could be a very worthy addition to either the QPR or Tottenham squads.
Andre Villas-Boas has had a fair few problems at the back this season but his recent decision to give Michael Dawson a chance to prove himself has worked a treat. William Gallas has at times looked all over the place this term, Younes Kaboul is still out with injury and impressive youngster Steven Caulker is feeling his way back after also spending some time out on the sidelines.
As such a move to bring in Distin on a short term deal would be a sound one.
The former Newcastle United, Man City and Portsmouth man has racked up over 350 Premier League appearances since his move to the English top tier from PSG back in the summer of 2001.
