The French International is linked with a move back to his hometown club.
PSG are set to offer Manchester United £5 million in January for the services of full-back Patrice Evra, according to The Independent.
The French side, now backed by Qatari investment will reportedly offer Evra a pay rise to his current £90,000-a-week deal at Old Trafford, with Evra keen to join the club he supported as a boy.
Manager Carlo Ancelotti is aiming to strengthen his side, and considers the left-back area a top priority. French media have also confirmed that Evra is the ideal target because of his strong character and ability to unite a divided dressing room.
It is thought the only hold-up for the deal to go through is United’s lack of options for a replacement. Alexander Buttner has not impressed, since coming over from Vitesse in the summer and Fabio is currently on a season-long loan spell at QPR.
Sir Alex Ferguson may be targeting Everton’s England International Leighton Baines as Evra’s successor, but there are reportedly no ongoing talks as of yet.
