Redknapp is looking to strengthen his squad next month after taking over a club rooted to the bottom of the Premier League without a win in their first 15 matches.
QPR boss has confirmed he is considering signing Tal Ben Haim and has not ruled out a move for Nicolas Anelka, reports West London Sport.
The Israeli defender is a free agent, after leaving Portsmouth at the end of last season, and he is currently on trial at Rangers. “I am having a look at him. He’s a good defender, a good lad and has a great attitude,” said Redknapp. He also added: “He looks very fit and I have let him come in and train. We’ll just see where we go in the next couple of weeks.”
The other former Chelsea player, 33-year-old striker Anelka, has just ended his second season as player/coach for Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua, but is reportedly unhappy and has been tipped to return to England. “He’s a good player – a top player,” said Redknapp. “He’s a player who, if available, is someone people will be interested in. But as far as I’m concerned he’s in China.”
The French striker was recently linked to West Ham United as well, where he would have the chance to reunite with his former Bolton manager Sam Allardyce.
