Zenit are going all-in for the versatile Belgian International.
The Russian club have made their intentions clear and will enter the bidding for Marouane Fellaini in the January transfer window, the Metro reports.
However, Everton will not easily part company with their on-form star and it will probably take a fee of over £20 million to tempt the Toffees.
The Russian champions are keen to bolster their midfield options at all costs though, and it is thought Fellaini would be enticed by a move to a team that is able to compete for titles. He would also be in line for a pay rise and would join fellow Belgians Nicolas Lombaerts and Axel Witsel in Saint-Petersburg.
Fellaini has been in impressive form this season, scoring 8 goals in 13 appearances and played an influential role in Everton’s great run at the start of the season.
He has also been linked to Chelsea, but Everton have said they are yet to receive any official offers for the player.
