Villa Park, Loftus Road and Carrow Road sides
Aston Villa, QPR and Norwich are set to fight it out to sign Robbie Keane on loan.
Former Tottenham striker Keane has insisted that he has no plans to make a short-term loan move back to the Premier League from LA Galaxy during the MLS close season.
But that has not stopped Villa’s Paul Lambert, and rival bosses at Norwich and QPR showing interest in offering a short-term deal.
Last winter, Keane scored three goals in seven appearances for Villa during a six-week loan spell. But after winning the MLS Cup with LA Galaxy, Keane says he wants to take a break to recover from knocks.

Robbie Keane may find to tough to turn down any genuine interest from a Premier League side and though any potential move to England would require LA Galaxy agreeing such a deal, perhaps it would be a chance to keep the Irish veteran fit and match ready over the MLS season break.
Of the three sides taking an interest a short term move to help out former boss Harry Redknapp at QPR could be the most tempting. The former Tottenham boss could well do with some added firepower as the Loftus Road side sink deeper into relegation trouble.
Though QPR have managed three successive draws it is imperative the Super Hoops start to pick up wins to have any hope of avoiding the drop. The West London side currently sit rock bottom of the table and are some eight points from safety and having only scored 13 goals all season there is a real need for a proven striker like Robbie Keane.
Keane helped the LA Galaxy to an MLS Cup Final triumph scoring 22 goals in 34 games for the Californian side.
