Chelsea look likely to bring in yet another young talent as Roman Abramovich once again opens his wallet and plans for the long term.
Over the summer Chelsea spent over £80m on six players, all of whom were under the age of 23 and now the club look likely to bring in highly-rated teenager Lazar Markovic.
The 18 year old helped Partizan Belgrade to the title last term and has been in good form during the current campaign, scoring six goals in 14 league appearances.
The young forward already has half a dozen Serbian national team caps to his name and is a player who is also interesting Liverpool, Arsenal and Inter Milan.
Chelsea’s deal could reportedly end up costing the West London side £14m and it does appear that a deal is set to be struck.
Rafa Benitez’s side could well do with attacking alternatives as currently the Blues rely heavily on Fernando Torres and there are question marks over the future’s of back-up forwards Daniel Sturridge and Romelu Lukaku.
