Loftus Road and Craven Cottage sides keen on St James’ Park full-back.
Fulham are plotting a January swoop for Danny Simpson after failing to secure his signature last summer.
The 25-year-old sparked a flurry of speculation about his future after he rejected a fresh contract from Newcastle last season.
Simpson’s current deal runs out next summer but the earlier offer that he snubbed still remains on the table.
Fulham, QPR and Reading were all linked with a move for former Manchester United youngster Simpson during the close season.

As we move nearer the transfer window re-opening Newcastle United may well start considering the possibility of selling the right-back so as to avoid losing the experienced defender on a free transfer next summer.
It had looked as though Danny Simpson would be leaving St James’ Park over the summer but Alan Pardew convinced the former Man United full-back to stay at the club and now Newcastle United stand to lose the defender on a free transfer at the end of the season and could therefore opt to cash in on the 25 year old in January.
Simpson has shared right-back duties with James Perch this term and the continued talk of interest in French international Mathieu Debuchy may well further restrict his first team chances.
Debuchy was reportedly very close to moving to the North-East side but Lille changed their mind over the deal but there is every chance that such a move could be clinched in January.
Simpson has made 132 appearances for Newcastle United.
Harry Redknapp may well feel he could do with improving a defence that has leaked goals aplenty but a move to Fulham may well be more likely given that QPR are very much in danger of being relegated from the top flight.
