Emirates Stadium side keen on Old Trafford star.
Arsenal are looking at a bold January swoop for Manchester United and Portugal winger Nani.
The 26-year-old is out of favour at Old Trafford after a bust-up with Sir Alex Ferguson and an impasse over a contract extension, while Wenger looks to bolster his squad for the Champions League and Premier League run-in.
Nani believes his relationship with Ferguson is beyond repair and has privately conceded his future is elsewhere, but United have not totally shut the door on the player, whose contract expires in 2014.
The winger, who missed Sunday’s Manchester derby through injury, had a bust-up with promising United midfielder Davide Petrucci earlier this season. He has not played since he was hauled off during the Champions League match at Braga in early November.

How likely is this?
Nani is considering something of a troubling influence in the Man United dressing room, known for his greediness on the field of play and almost certainly likely to demand a pay packet far in excess of anyone in Arsene Wenger’s squad. So just what are the chances of the North London club even considering a move for the 26 year old? Slim to none would be about right.
Aside from those issues there is also the fact that Arsenal do not really need any more wide attacking options. Currently Wenger calls upon Lukas Podolski, Gervinho and Theo Walcott as his first choices but can also draft in veteran Andrei Arshavin and youngsters Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Ryo Miyaichi.
Nani’s Man United career does seem over though but a move abroad is the most likely destination for the Portuguese international.
Thus far this season the flair player has started just four of the club’s 16 Premier League fixtures.
