Emirates Stadium target snapped at Colney training ground?
Does this picture show Manchester United winger Nani at Arsenal’s London training ground on the day of the Manchester derby?
Sportsmail exclusively revealed that Arsenal were planning a bold January swoop for the United and Portugal winger.
Caught red-handed? This picture was posted of Nani on Twitter claiming he was at Arsenal’s training ground
The 26-year-old is out of favour at Old Trafford after a bust-up with Sir Alex Ferguson and an impasse over a contract extension, while Wenger looks to bolster his squad for the Champions League and Premier League run-in.
This picture was tweeted on Sunday by @TheFootballDad along with the caption: ‘Why is Nani at London Colney this morning when the Manchester derby is on…met him there this morning. Erm…I wonder.’

As it turns out, no Nani apparently wasn’t at London Colney after all, though clearly that would fit well with speculation of apparent Arsenal interest in the Portuguese international. As the excellent Sport Witness points out Nani was in seemingly at Watford’s training ground to see a relative’s Under 10 encounter.
Nani does however seem likely to leave Man United having become surplus to requirements this season. The 26 year old has made just four Premier League starts this season, his last coming back in September, but a move to Arsenal does seem unlikely, not least as his wage demands would probably well exceed any salary of those currently in the Gunners squad and Arsene Wenger has more than enough wide attacking options at present.
