White Hart Lane side target San Siro midfielder.
Tottenham could launch a shock January bid for Wesley Sneijder, according to reports in Italy.
The Inter Milan midfielder is thought to be available in January after refusing to sign a new contract on reduced terms – and a number of clubs are monitoring the situation.
Sneijder has not played for Inter since September, having missed two months due to injury and then not being selected after refusing to sign his new deal.

Anyone who believes Tottenham have little chance of landing the Inter Milan playmaker need only recall the way the North London side surprised many with their capture of Rafael Van der Vaart for just £8m as he looked to end a miserable spell at Real Madrid.
The 28 year old San Siro star appears to be nearing a departure from Inter Milan and Tottenham are one of many sides ready to make a move for the former Ajax and Real Madrid man. PSG are said to be leading the chase but perhaps a move to the Premier League will tempt the Dutch international.
Andre Villas-Boas may feel his side lacks midfield creativity having seen the aforementioned Van der Vaart and Luka Modric both leave in the summer and whilst Moussa Dembele offers a great deal of drive Sneijder has at times been considered one of the best in his position in Europe.
Sneijder won a treble of Champions League, Serie A and Coppa Italia titles in his first season at Inter Milan but his career has stagnated somewhat since Jose Mourinho left the Italian giants. Though new boss Andrea Stramaccioni has got the Nerazzurri purring away again, up to second spot in the table after a good run of form, they have done so without the talented flair player and could therefore be ready to cash-in on his services.
