Former Stamford Bridge hero on his way to Turin?
Shanghai Shenhua striker Didier Drogba is closing on a loan move to Juventus in January, according to ESPN sources.

Didier Drogba was hopeful that his request to be made exempt from international transfer rules, relating to the number of clubs a player can represent in a calendar year, however his case was rejected and as such any move would occur after January 1st.
The Ivory Coast international will be representing his country at the 2013 African Nations Cup for much of January and February so that further restricts any potential time at the Turin side.
However Juventus are hoping to keep hold of the 34 year old striker on an 18 month deal but Drogba is thought to be after a two and a half year contract before he considers cancelling his contract with Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua.
The former Blues legend has been training with his former team-mates since his the Chinese Premier League season came to an end a few weeks ago.
Juventus could well do with attacking alternatives as despite their near flawless displays in Serie A over the past 18 months Antonio Conte’s side still lack a clinical finisher.
