Old Trafford side linked with interest in FC Porto duo.

According to reports Manchester United are preparing a double raid on Porto for James Rodriguez and Alex Sandro.

A Bola claims United are looking for a replacement for Patrice Evra and have lined up Alex Sandro.

The 21-year-old Brazil international is a marauding full-back who joined Porto for around £8 million two years ago.

It is understood United are seeking a joint deal with team-mate James Rodriguez.

Clearly Sir Alex Ferguson likes to shop in the Portuguese top tier, indeed it may well be the league he has raided most often aside from moves to capture talents plying their trade in England. The likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Nani, Anderson, and Bebe, have been brought in to Old Trafford from this route so there is perhaps credence to ongoing discussion about a potential raid of domestic champions FC Porto.

Many see interest in Colombian winger James Rodriguez as directly related to the fate of out of favour Man United star Nani, who has made just four Premier League starts this season. The former Banfield man has won back to back titles at the Estadio Dragao side and has been in even more effective form during the current campaign.

The 21 year old has also proved very useful at international level, working well with unstoppable forward Radamel Falcao and clearly Ferguson feels that Rodriguez can help provide ammunition for his forwards.

Interest in Alex Sandro could well be with a view to Sir Alex Ferguson bringing in a successor for Patrice Evra with the 32 year old Frenchman perhaps not being at his very best over the past 18 months.

The 21 year old moved to FC Porto 18 months ago and his form has led to a prolonged spell in the senior national team set-up. The wide-man can also play in an advanced role on the left hand side and may well be interested in a move to join national team colleagues Rafael and Anderson at Old Trafford.
