It’s been announced that the legendary group will perform a series of UK gigs in April 2013, in support of their new album The Journey.
The band hit it big in the 80s – with their track Fields of Fire reaching the UK Top Ten in 1983. It was followed by the album The Crossing which spawned the bands best known hit, In a Big Country, their only U.S. Top 40 hit single. Big Country’s use of traditional Scottish folk instruments such as the bagpipes and fiddle, gave them a unique sound in their material.
